Flu Shot Clinic
Plans are in the works for an immunization clinic for all the tenants of Casa Loma and Comox Valley Seniors Village. The approximate timing will be the last week of October or the first week of November. We will be coming to each tenant’s suite this year as opposed to holding the clinic in the theater. Once we have a date confirmed we will let the families and tenants know.
Halloween Fun
The tenants of Casa Loma have been having a great time decorating pumpkins – these are not your average pumpkin decorations as you can see!
Indoor Social Visits
If there is no active COVID-19 outbreak at the facility, a resident may visit with one designated family member or friend*.
*Facility staff/operator can approve a change to the designated visitor under extenuating circumstances; for example, if the visitor moves away or becomes ill and is unable to visit.
The visitor must:
- Book the visit in advance with facility staff,
- Be screened on every visit for respiratory and gastrointestinal symptoms and possible exposure to COVID-19. Visitors with symptoms are not permitted to enter the facility,
- Wear a mask, practice hand and respiratory hygiene (cough and sneeze etiquette) and maintain a two-metre physical distance where possible, and
- Visit in the client’s suite only, for a maximum of 60 minutes

There continues to be no signs or symptoms of COVID-19 in any of our residents/tenants or staff at Casa Loma and Comox Valley Seniors Village and for that we are very grateful. Should the status of our community change in any respect, please know that we will immediately contact families.
