General Manager’s Message:

Hi Everyone, Happy Spring!

We continue to appreciate all that you and your loved ones are doing to heed the precautions put in place to alleviate risk of exposure to COVID-19.

I am relieved to tell you that there are no cases of reported outbreak nor signs nor symptoms of COVID-19 in any of our residents or staff here at Auburn Seniors’ Village.

As the Province begins the transition that will see some of the rules relaxed, a gentle reminder that we continue to following the direction of our provincial Health Officer, Bonnie Henry.

We continue to follow the direction of our public health officials to the letter and have full infection prevention and control precautions in place. Staff continue to monitor residents closely and are ensuring the following protocols are being adhered to

Getting your vaccine can be easy and we hope you refer to this site if you have not already done so.  https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/covid-19/vaccine/register?utm_campaign=20210412_GCPE_Vizeum_COVID___Google_Search_BCGOV_EN_BC_VaccinePage_Text

Auburn Socials

We have had a wonderful response from our residents on the new additional activities!  Mondays we have BINGO at 1:30pm with Paul in the media room.  Wednesdays at 2pm we have CRAFTS in the media room. Thursdays at 2pm we have the ICE CREAM SOCIAL in the library.

Don’t forget – about our FIRESIDE CHAT with Wendy on Thursday May 6th at 2pm & 3pm.  This is a general discussion group.  Residents may chat about the building, the weather, whatever you may fancy!

Around the Building

The property is really taking shape for summer.  Our Resident garden boxes are really starting to grow.  Please visit the back yard to see how gorgeous they are looking.   The back patio is coming along with power washing and setting up our outdoor furniture. We look forward to residents and resident family’s enjoying this once again.  Summer is near!!

Please help us by reminding each resident daily of the following four items:

  1. Practice social/physical distancing (6 feet apart)
  2. Perform proper Hand Hygiene (Wash hands frequently for 20 seconds with the alcohol-based sanitizer or soap and hot water) 20 seconds or greater is so important.
  3. Remember masks must be worn in all common areas at Auburn. Please try to avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth.
  4. If exhibiting any symptoms (fever, cough and difficulty breathing) please alert staff immediately.

Stay Safe, Stay Healthy, And Stay Happy!
