Happy Weekend All Auburn and Waverly Family and Friends! Much of this information may already be known, but we continue to keep open lines of communication which we believe is very important while caring for your loved ones. Thank you to everyone who participated on our family conference call this week and we look forward to the next meeting. We will be having these on the last Wednesday of every month. If you need more information about these calls, please don’t hesitate to let me know

We are still happy to tell you that there are no cases of reported outbreak nor signs nor symptoms of COVID-19 in any of our residents or staff here at Waverly Seniors’ Village or Auburn Retirement Residences.

We continue to follow the direction of our provincial Health Officer, Bonnie Henry, and our no visitor policy remains in place. We understand your eagerness to come and visit your loved ones but at this time our no visitor policy remains the same, and we are taking extra care at the doors because of the increased exposure outside. Thank you again for your understanding of our work to keep your loved ones safe.

Communication

Due to social distancing orders we are encouraging family members and loved ones to connect with your family member via telephone call, or FACETIME or SKYPE.

To inquire about facetime/skype or phone calls, please contact Heather at 604-799-1303 or email hbrougham@retirementconcepts.com

Recreation

The Recreation staff are hard at work keeping all residents busy with activities. We have a “Suite Treat” that is going out every Tuesday and Wednesday which has activities and an ice cream that is delivered to everyone’s door!  We have a Secret Garden Party this Thursday and Friday… ramping up for our “Puttin’ on the Ritz” party next week. If you have a Tiara or some “bling” for your family here please let us know if you would like to drop it off!

As you are all aware, there are different protocols depending on the level of care your family needs, so please keep that in mind and don’t hesitate to call if you have any questions.

Meals

We are all looking forward to being able to open the dining rooms and we are working on plans to help facilitate that as quickly as possible.

In the meantime, the dining room is closed and tray service is being delivered to each suite.

Deliveries

We are accepting deliveries at the door that are being delivered to the residents as soon as they are sanitized and deemed safe.

A big thank you to everyone for working so hard to keep us all safe and healthy, as well as for the kindness, understanding and support you share.

Stay Safe everyone,

Sincerely,

The Leadership Team
