Good Afternoon,

Selkirk Seniors Village remains COVID-19 Free! Please know that should the status of our community change in any respect, we will immediately inform all resident’s and tenant’s families or primary contact.

VISITATION

The new guidance from The Ministry of B.C surrounding social visitation in Long Term Care and Assisted Living has been going well. It has been lovely to see so many of your faces again, and so heartwarming to see families reunited. All social visits will be booked in advanced through our social visitation line 250-940-1028 ext. 1125. All visitors will be signed in and screened in the front lobby prior to seeing their loved one.  During the visit, you must remain in your loved ones room/suite and not move around the unit/building.  For in room/suite visits there can be a maximum of two adult visitors and 1 child (defined as 18 or younger) at one time. Bookings for outdoor visits/outings must comply with current PHO guidance on outdoor gatherings for the public.  All visitors are required to wear a medical mask for the duration of the visit. A medical mask will be provided to you upon arrival. When booking your visit, please ask about parking instructions and where to enter the building. Do not visit if you are feeling unwell, please call and reschedule your visit at ext. 1125.

The Recreation team are still facilitating FaceTime and Skype to the best of their abilities, while also completing their other duties. Please note that these are the only two platforms we are able to use.  Please reach out to Brian DelRaye-Recreation manager and his team by e-mail at bdelraye@retirementconcepts.com or Selkirk-recreation@retirementconcepts.com, or call to set up a schedule (Brian- 250-940-1028 x1102; Rec Office- 250-940-1028 x1120).  They will be happy to confirm a date and time to connect you with your loved-one.

Recreation

A little friendly competition is happening between all the care units and assisted living. The main street hallway windows have been assigned to the different units and the recreation team and residents/tenants have done an amazing job at decorating them for spring! Congratulations to the top 3 winners- Fenton, Dayton, and Crofton!

Thank You

Thank you for your continued support, patience, and doing all you can to keep yourself and those around you safe.
