Visitor Policy Reminder
Recreation:
As mentioned in the last week’s update, February is Therapeutic Recreation Month! This month we recognize the importance and diversity of TR and will be celebrating the amazing team we have here at RHSV. This week we are spotlighting 2 of our outstanding team members; Sushanthy (‘Sue”) and Nikki.
Sue has been with RHSV since 2016 and loves everything about being a TR aide. She loves being able to make a difference in our seniors lives every day, loves to bring joy, smiles & laughter to them, loves that she is a solution seeker, and that her role takes many different forms. Most importantly for Sue is that she loves being able to add value to their lives by giving them purpose & meaning. She LOVE’s everything about TR. Sue hopes to be able to teleport one day, so she can eat her way around the world and explore!
Nikki has been with Rosemary Heights since 2012, and she enjoys spending time with our seniors in long term care & Assisted Living, her passion for TR was stemmed from her love to be able to make a difference in our senior’s lives, she loves to bring smiles & joy to them and ensures everyone has a laugh daily. It is very easy to find Nikki, as its usually her laugh we hear first!
This week, every day we have had a fun themed day and will be throughout February. This week we wore RED on Monday, watched Groundhog Day, Wednesday was feed a bird day, Thursday we look forward to Crazy Socks Day, and to finish up the week, who doesn’t like Friday Float day, just to name a few! We are so very lucky to have such an amazing group of ladies to bring the fun to our world inside RHSV. THANK YOU!!
We will continue to offer scheduled video calls for those families who live out of town or are unable to come in for any reason. Please connect with Jaylene Smillie in our recreation department by emailing jsmillie@retirementconcepts.com or by calling 778-545-5000 ext. 1007

Retiring
Lastly, today we say Happy Retirement to our wonderful Community Relations Manager, Carolyn Dickey. Carolyn has decided it’s time to hang up her sales hat for retirement after 4 wonderful years with RHSV. Carolyn has been such a great asset to us & to our families & residents and we will miss her friendly, big smiles, her great eye for floral arrangements, her caring nature but most importantly her presence. Wishing you all the best Carolyn!
A big thank you to everyone for working so hard to keep Rosemary Heights safe and healthy, as well as for the kindness, understanding and support that has been shown.
Thank you to this amazing team at RHSV – they have done an amazing job under extreme conditions and I can honestly say that your loved ones are in very good hands with the team here. Their dedication and commitment during these times is absolutely inspiring.
Take care, and let’s take care of each other.
Stay Safe, stay calm, & stay kind.
