Thursday November 19th

Hello Family and Friends of Rosemary Heights:

We are very relieved to share there continues to be no signs or symptoms of COVID-19 in any of our residents or staff here at Rosemary Heights Seniors Village, and for that we are very grateful. Should the status of our Community change in any respect, please know that we will immediately contact families. We continue to monitor all residents & staff daily for any symptoms.

We are trusting that you and your families are following the Provincial Health order in a cumulative effort to flatten the curve.  For the next 14 days as per the PHO, residents should only be leaving the building for essential medical appointments only not on any social visits.

The order is in effect from November 7, 2020 at 10:00 pm to November 23, 2020 at 12:00 pm unless this gets extended

We opened the dining rooms for all areas yesterday and everyone was welcomed with open arms.  We loved to hear the chatter of friends seeing each other after a few days and were happy to serve them.  Recreation activity programs have resumed in all areas. These activities will be hosted by our Recreation Aides and will be adhering to all precautionary measures such as prescreening questions, small group sessions, social distancing, and thorough sanitization of the activity space before and after each activity.

Please remind and motivate your loved ones to participate in these different activities.

We will continue to offer virtual video calls for those families who live out of town or are unable to come in for any reason. Please connect with Jaylene Smillie in our recreation department by emailing jsmillie@retirementconcepts.com or by calling 778-545-5000 ext. 1007

I know everyone is anxious to restart the in person visits, we will be looking at a safe return to visits plan next week, we are being very mindful to ensure we restart very slowly, I will be very happy to share when we will restart the visits with you.

We will be administering flu shots for all Assisted living residents on Tuesday Nov 24th, and Long term care residents on Dec 2nd.   We do have the vaccines already at the community, and will administer the flu shots to all residents.  Please be assured that intense safety precautions will be implemented to keep everyone safe and healthy.

Hair Salon

Sadly, the hair salon will remain closed until further notice.

Communication

We will now move to sending out a weekly letter every Thursday to communicate to all the families.  We will also post the weekly updates under Retirement Concepts Covid-19 Updates on our website.  You are welcome to share the newsletter we send to you with other friends & family members.
