Monterey Seniors Village – July 2, 2020
West Coast Seniors Housing Management has been informed that a case of COVID-19 has been confirmed involving a staff member at Monterey Seniors Village. That staff member is home and in self-isolation. He showed no symptoms, but tested positive on a swab test.
Out of an abundance of caution, we have isolated residents of the lower floor to their respective rooms, where their meals are also being provided. The dining room remains open for the residents of other floors.
We will continue monitoring residents closely and should anyone be symptomatic, they will be swabbed, placed in isolation as a precaution until lab results are known, and their families will be informed.
We recognize that this news will create concern and anxiety. Pease know that the care and safety of residents is our number one priority and we are treating the situation very seriously.
Protocols
We are adhering to a number of strict protocols, including the following:
Communication
We will be communicating with all families via email on a daily basis along with Facebook posts.
Should the condition of any resident change, their family will be notified immediately.
Teamwork
We wish to thank staff, residents and families for their cooperation and understanding.
