Friday, August 21-2020 Family Message Update

As the summer winds down, and we start smelling the beginnings of fall, please keep in mind to check in on those in your neighbourhood or those you normally see. This Pandemic has caused a lot of loneliness and we want you to know that we are doing our best to listen and to suggest. We work with Seniors Serving Seniors and they have an amazing link with a ton of information. Please reach out to them for yourself, or for someone that you know.

The social visit program has been very successful and thank you to the families and friends who are adhering to our protocol. Those who are not adhering to our guidelines may be asked to leave. The most important part is that you cannot book a visit unless you are the designated visitor for a given resident. The Designated Visitor Form is available upon request, and must be completed and submitted for approval. Please email the completed form to: snutchey@retirementconcepts.com.  . The designated visitor cannot be changed for the time being, until the government reviews their policies sometime this month. Please continue to book social visits (if you are a designated visitor) by phoning the Front Desk at 250-383-9099. We have had to adjust the visiting due to people showing up on unscheduled visits and impeding on other people’s scheduled visits so please try to understand we are working hard at facilitating all your requests. leave.

VISITING:

Visits must be limited to 45 minutes maximum. Please familiarize yourself with our updated policies and procedures and thank you for your understanding and support in keeping everyone in our residence safe.

We have 3 designated outside areas with the following guideline of times: Courtyard, daily from 9 am. – 8 pm, Zen Garden from 9 am – 8 pm and the Patio/outside the dining from 9 am – 11 am, 2-4 pm and 6:30-8 pm

• Please do not visit if you are sick or have had contact with anyone who is sick.
• To minimize risk, any and all family visits at The Wellesley MUST be scheduled in advance.
• Only 1 designated visitor is permitted into visiting areas at a time.
• Anyone wishing to visit will be screened for signs and symptoms of illness – visitors may be denied access if there is failure to comply with protocols & regulations.
• Any and all family visitors must wear clean Medical Grade Masks for the entirety of the visit. If you do not have one, it will be provided. You must also adhere to all physical distancing and hand hygiene guidelines including coughing and sneezing etiquette.
• If you plan on visiting, please remember to adhere to physical distancing guidelines by utilizing the areas as directed. Please do not move any furniture in visiting areas.
• All disinfecting and sanitization will be completed by The Wellesley Team after your visit.
• Food & Beverages are not permitted during visits at this time.
• Visitors must leave facility directly after visiting Resident.
• NO visitors will be permitted at The Wellesley if an active outbreak is in progress (if you were scheduled, you will be informed).
• Visiting Times and areas: The Courtyard is available from 9 -8 pm; The Zen Garden is available from 9-8 pm and the Patio area is available from 9-11, 2-4 and 6:30-8 weekly. We have a dedicated staff member on the weekends, Sabrina Nutchey who will be your main point of contact.
• Please do not show up without a scheduled visits as this hinders others who have a visit already.
