Friday, September 11, 2020– Beacon Hill Villa – Update
Dear Dedicated BHV Families and Friends,
Be a part of the change for your loved, we need your help and input!
The Office of the Seniors Advocate wants to hear your story in your words about the impact of living with the visit restrictions in long-term care and assisted living that have been required in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We would like to extend their invite to you to take their survey online at www.carehomevisits.ca. The survey is available until September 30, 2020. https://www.seniorsadvocatebc.ca/ for more information. www.carehomevisits.ca for the survey link.
A special thank you to Irvin Lund, husband of BHV resident Lucille Lund.
Lucille left us several months ago and we miss her deeply. She was a woman of few but powerful words. Irvin was an extension of the BHV family, here almost everyday. He was a friend to many residents and team members here at BHV. Irvin joined Lucille to many programs and often supported the recreation team during our programs, specifically bingo, baking, choir and special events.
Irvin generously donated subs for the entire residents and team at BHV! We took a moment to reflect on our times with Lucille and Irvin. The residents and team at BHV are extremely thankful.
Take care and stay safe,
Kassandra Keszthelyi, BRLS | Recreation Manager
As BHV moves forward with in person visits, we are offering scheduled alternating week visits at a time & date that works for you (once every two weeks) OR weekly visits which fit into our pre-set schedule calling out free spots about 3 days prior to availability. Recreation has gotten in contact with most of the designated visitors, please email kkeszthelyi@retirementconcepts.com or call 250-419-6826 if you have not been contacted.
As things will look a bit different, here is a summary of what to expect when you visit:
