COVID-19 Community Update from Beacon Hill Villa, November 6, 2020
Dear dedicated families and friends of BHV,
We had a spooky Halloween special lunch! Pizza day was Oct 30 for all the residents at BHV! The residents loved their special lunch surprise. Thank you to Superior Pizza who made 12 large pizzas for us! They were delicious.
The Halloween costume contest was a great success! Please see attached pictures. Residents got to vote for their favourites. We had winners for most original, funniest and most boring costumes!
We will be having Guy Fawkes special meals on Sunday November 8th, we will be having a lunch and dinner special! For lunch, split pea soup, crab and onion quiche, mixed green salad and fresh fruit. Dinner will be steak and mushroom pie, rutabaga and carrots and blackberry crumble for dessert. My mouth is already watering!
Remembrance Day service will be on November 11th in the afternoon. In-person visits will still be happening on the holiday. If you would like to cancel your visit for that day, please contact Kassandra at 250.419.6826 OR kkeszthelyi@retirementconcepts.com

We are offering scheduled alternating week visits at a time & date that works for you (once every two weeks) OR weekly visits which fit into our pre-set schedule calling out free spots about 3 days prior to availability. Recreation has gotten in contact with most of the designated visitors, please email kkeszthelyi@retirementconcepts.com or call 250-419-6826 if you have not been contacted.
As things will look a bit different, here is a summary of what to expect when you visit:
- There will be designated parking: ambulance parking is in front
- Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment
- Staff will greet you outside the front door
- Come down to rec/kitchen stairs, and be screened before you enter
- Visits will be in the recreation area. Outdoor patio visits are encouraged. There is an indoor space if required.
- Sanitize hands and wear a surgical grade masks. Required personal protective equipment will be provided by BHV.
- Visits will be approx. 40 minutes in duration.
In order to maximize our time so all families can benefit from booking a visit quickly:
- Virtual visits will still be offered. However, we are sure they will decrease.
- In person visits will take the place of fence visits.
- We have a 48-hour cancellation policy, and can easily reschedule you.
