Welcome to the Weekly Auburn Update!
The sunshine has been shining in these days bringing our residents so much joy! We are happy to announce a successful love filled Valentine’s Day. Each and every single resident was gifted a box of Girl Guide cookies. We are proud of our community support to our Seniors!
With progression in regards to first vaccine dose – We are on the list, spoke with Health Authorities this week and should have a date shortly. We are otherwise following strict health guidelines and restrictions will remain in effect for our staff, residents and families. We will be continuing to follow the direction of our provincial Health Officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry. We are feeling both confident & positive with our safe environment. We thank everyone for their personal support in this.

Recreation Program:
February has been a busy month for the Recreation team here at Auburn! We are proud and happy to say that activities are happening and so are the laughs. We’ve started an Ice Cream parlor on Fridays. Happy hours are still a hit with lots of sign ups. Today we had our Birthday celebration for our February B-days. We sang, ate cake, laughed and shared in our beautiful front library. The decorations just came down from Valentines and we look forward to decorating for St. Patrick’s Day!
Reminders for your loved one to Stay Safe:
Please help us by reminding each resident daily of the following four items:
1. Practice social/physical distancing (6 feet apart)
2. Perform proper Hand Hygiene (Wash hands frequently for 20 seconds with the alcohol-based sanitizer or soap and hot water) 20 seconds or greater is so important.
3. Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth
4. If exhibiting any symptoms (fever, cough and difficulty breathing) please alert staff immediately.
Finance Updates
For Tenants and Residents that have lived at WAV through the 2020 Tax Year, your 2020 WAV Tax Receipts will be ready by the end of February. Our Finance Coordinator is busily preparing them and will send them out to the tenants/Financial Representatives at the beginning of March 2021.
