Hello families and friends of Rosemary Heights Seniors Village

On Feb 7th, we were informed that a case of COVID-19 has been confirmed involving a staff member at Rosemary Heights Seniors Village in our Assisted Living building only. That staff member is currently home and in self-isolation.  Their last day of work was February 3, 2021 on all 3 floors in the Assisted living building.

We have isolated all residents in the Assisted Living building under droplet precautions and all meals will be delivered via room service.  We continue to monitor all residents for any symptoms and currently no residents or staff are displaying any COVID 19 symptoms.

The health authority has been contacted and have been working with our team collaboratively.

As per the public health office, we were informed to perform COVID testing for residents that the team member provided care to as well as all staff.  Once we learn of these test results we will update everyone immediately.

Please know that should your family member test positive, you will receive an immediate phone call and they will continue these calls daily to keep you updated.

The care and safety of residents is our number one priority, and we are treating the situation very seriously.

Staff will function as cohorts on specific floors, and not on a facility-wide basis.

Until further notice, all in person visitations have been cancelled for all levels of care (long term care, & assisted living) and all group activities have been paused for assisted living residents only. This includes FaceTime, zoom, skype and in person visits as staff work to ensure all isolated residents are monitored and cared for fully.

FaceTime, zoom and skype calls are still being performed on the long term care floors as well as small group activities. Any deemed essential visitors for the long term care residents should continue with your schedules.

Communication

We will provide families with an email update that will also be posted under Covid updates on our website.   You are welcome to share this update with your other family members
