What We Do - Retirement Living Communities
Comfortable Assisted & Independent Senior Living
Retirement Concepts provides housing and care for seniors in a variety of levels of service in retirement living communities throughout BC. We are able to accommodate active seniors, seniors who require just a little attention while remaining independent and seniors who need a great deal more care.
Some of our retirement living communities have one, two, or all three levels of service. With all three levels of service residents need never worry about having to move from the community. Couples are able to remain close together as their needs change.
Independent Living- Designed for seniors who don’t wish to remain home alone anymore and who prefer the lifestyle of retirement living communities, where they are no
For the most part these seniors are still active in the community, enjoying outdoor pursuits, travelling, volunteering, and generally enjoying life.
They like to have a nice suite where they can still do light cooking, but enjoy some meals in our dining room, have their housekeeping done for them, participate in light activities and entertainment, and have the security of a staffed building with other residents with whom they can interact.
Assisted Living – This is for seniors who need just a little bit more than Independent Living. Seniors in Assisted Living at retirement living communities are mobile and self directing, and are able to receive assistance with the activities of daily living, such as bathing, medication, reminders etc. This is ideal for couples, where both have different needs, because it allows them to remain together. In Assisted Living, we provide two meals per day, housekeeping, entertainment and activities. Because the accommodation is apartment-style, residents are able to set their own schedules and retain their independence for much longer.
Residential Care – For seniors who need more attention and care. Staffed 24 hours a day by a professional contingent of care professionals, including RN’s, LPN’s, RCA’s, Dieticians, Recreation Therapists, and other related professionals, we are able to provide what people refer to as intermediate care, extended care, respite care, palliative care and dementia care. Residents and their families can relax in the knowledge that our care givers are considerate, compassionate and respectful.
