Located in beautiful Chilliwack, The Waverly is one of Retirement Concepts original facilities. In 2004, we added 66 Assisted Living suites to our existing 53 residential care rooms, providing a true Campus of Care, where seniors are able to ‘age in place’. This is also an ideal situation for couples, enabling them to stay together in the same facility as their care needs change over the years.
Independent/Assisted Living Suites
These suites are specially designed for residents who wish to maintain their independence, knowing assistance is available when the time comes Independent/Assisted Living residents need to be self directing, and they also need to be mobile (they may use a walker and/or wheelchair as long as they are able to transfer). This is ideal for couples as well as singles.
- Independent/Assisted Living suites are studio, one bedroom, and two bedroom suites
- All suites are well appointed and pleasingly decorated
- Furnishings include: kitchenette with bar fridge, fixtures and curtains
- Bathrooms are large and are configured for easy access with higher toilets, and walk in showers
- One-step emergency call bells in every suite: living area and bathroom. Pendants are also available
Independent/Assisted Living Amenities
- A bright, elegant central dining room with two meals included every day
- Bistro gathering area, where residents and guests can enjoy a beverage and snack with family or friends
- Lounges and outdoor areas, including a spectacular roof-top garden, offer gathering places or a quiet retreat
- Hair Dresser
- Library and internet lounge
- Country kitchen to bake a batch of cookies, or fry an egg
- Theatre and activity room
- Fitness Room
- Bus trips and outings
- The General Store is open for business, supplying fresh milk, bread, cereal and a variety of other items
- Freedom spa tub
- Care in the form of assistance with Activities of Daily Living available. This may be through Fraser Health Authority or Waverly Seniors Village staff (fees apply)

- Call bells in each suite (bathroom and living area). Pendants available

We provide the entertainment and activities; you decide what you wish to do. You are welcome to participate in as much as you want, or to take quiet time for yourself. It is your decision.

Residential Care (Skilled Nursing Care)
Residents are cared for by a highly trained, professional and caring staff, in a safe and secure environment.
We accept residents requiring intermediate, extended, palliative, dementia and respite care. We have both funded and private pay facilities. Funded facilities must be applied for through Fraser Health.
Rooms are tastefully decorated in soft colours with comfortable furnishings and ensuite. Residents are encouraged to bring familiar belongings and decorations to create an atmosphere that is familiar to them and to their families.

• Specialized bathing facilities in each mini-community

Residential Care Entertainment and Recreation
Our professionally trained Recreation Staff is dedicated to making time spent at The Waverly quality time. We want our residents to be able to fill their days with worthwhile activities and entertainment, to the best of their ability. We encourage the participation of family and friends. We also respect our residents’ rights to dignity always, and privacy as they wish it.
We take every opportunity to celebrate special occasions: - birthdays, holidays, special days, the seasons, and anything else that might be happening.

Debbie Davidson
General Manager
Debbie joined the "Waverly Team" in February 2003. Her education as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse and extensive management background in both community home support and facility care has prepared her for this challenging role. Debbie is commited to maintaining a homelike atmosphere in which seniors unique needs are met in courteous and professional manner.

Angie Koziok
Administrative Assistant
Angie joined "The Waverly" in October 2002. She brought with her over 15 years experience in financial management and customer service. Angie's energetic, friendly and efficient manner is a valuable resource to both staff and residents. Angie is responsible for billing, accounts payable and payroll and it is usually her friendly voice which greets you when you call.

Rita Gent
Clinical Care Coordinator
Rita has been with Retirement Concepts since 1997.She joined the management team as Clinical Care Coordinator in 2005. Rita is committed to ensuring that the highest level of holistic care is recieved by all our residents.
Rita hasmore than a decade of experience in Long Term Care and a background in General Hospital, Home Care and Hemo-kidney Dialysis. As a native Albertan she has made her home in the Fraser Valley since 1996.

Sarah Wilson
LPN Team Leader
Sarah joined the Waverly family in February 2008 as the LPN Team Leader of the Assisted Living building. She is in her sixth year of nursing with most of her experience in geriatrics. “My passion has always been working with seniors and I learn something new everyday from the tenants I work with. “ Sarah’s pastimes include reading, singing and drinking coffee! |

Lorraine Huebner
Recreation Coordinator
Lorraine has been employed at the Waverly since 1992, initially working in a variety of departments. In 1994, she successfully completed an Activity Coordinators course and has been working in that capacity ever since.
She also has an extensive background in the arts which has proved invaluable in her position. Lorraine provides a large variety of valuable recreation and opportunities to our seniors catering to their individual abilities and interests.

Lorne McLaren
Food Serivces Coordinator
Lorne came to work at the Waverly in September 1997. He brought with him 22 years experience in Food Services Management and Production. He is responsible for all aspect of food delivery and quality control which ensures that our residents enjoy a variety of nutritious home cooked meals.
