Located in Surrey, this residence opened in 2001 and was developed according to Retirement Concept’s philosophy of providing residents with a home and a neighbourhood. The building is designed around a central nursing care unit with four 'neighbourhoods', each with its own small intimate dining area. All rooms are private with large bay windows that open out to the landscaped gardens or interior courtyard. Each room is decorated in soft, warm colours and furnished with quality, crafted furniture. Residents may bring their own furniture if they prefer to do so.

Morag Alvernaz
Manager, Therapeutic Recreation
Morag joined the Recreation team at Guildford Seniors Village in 2004 as a Recreation Assistant and was promoted to Manager of the Recreation Department in 2006.
She is a graduate of the Therapeutic Recreation Program at Douglas College and is currently an undergraduate student at Simon Fraser University.
Morag’s goals for the Recreation Department are to foster quality of life, self determination and meaningful experiences for residents as well as to encourage resident participation in recreation program planning.

Zay Rahimbux
Admin. Coordinator
Zay joined Guildford Seniors Village in July of 2009. She has experience with Accounts and Management and extensive experience in Customer Service. A friendly smile and outgoing personality is how Zay gets to know the residents, their families, and the staff.
Zay is excited to be involved in this aspect of the health industry and enjoys chatting with the residents and their families. Her goals are to ensure that all the residents, their families and the staff are treated with respect, care, and courtesy, and that she does what she can to ensure the proper and friendly care of the residents is the best it can be and foremost in all that we do.

Joti Takhar
Marketing Coordinator
Joti joined the Retirement Concepts team in January of 2009. She graduated from the British Columbia Institute of Technology with a Marketing Diploma and then went on to complete her Bachelors of Business Administration Degree. Prior to working at Retirement Concepts, Joti worked in the High Tech Industry as an Account Manager.
Joti is enthusiastic about assisting seniors and their families and understands the importance of ensuring that Guildford Seniors Village is the perfect match for its potential residents based on their needs. She recognizes that this will be their new home. |
