We would like to thank all families and loved ones of Millrise Seniors Village residents for their support and cooperation during this difficult time.

Over the last several days, we have received a number of requests – either directly or on our Facebook Page – from loved ones and family members that are related to a specific resident. Please know that we cannot release private information to those who are not listed in our files as a direct contact. As a result, we would advise you have the main family contact pose such questions on your behalf.

Status Update

Today, the number of residents who have tested positive, totals six – all of whom are in isolation and being closely monitored. The number of staff who have tested positive now totals seven, and each of them are home, in self-isolation.

PLEASE NOTE: Alberta Health Services is testing all residents today. We will communicate results as it is provided to us.

We continue to monitor our residents, and should anyone be symptomatic, they are swabbed, placed in isolation as a precaution until lab result are known, and families are informed. We continue to screen our staff upon entrance into our building and midway through their shift.

Again, this status update and reference to positive cases are related to our Supportive Living Unit – NOT the long-term care unit or the Memory Care Unit.

Communication with all families continues via e-mail, while daily phone calls to family members of the three directly impacted residents continue. If there are any changes in other residents, families will be updated immediately.

We are communicating with our impacted staff three times per week.

We continue to be in daily communication with Alberta Health Services representatives as well as with our Site Medical Director.

Please refer to our daily updates on the Retirement Concepts Website and Facebook Page.

 Lockdown at Millrise Seniors Village

The community remains on mandatory lockdown as per the Order of the Medical Health Officer.

We are continuing to adhere to the order to stop sharing staff between facilities and we are diligently following all Alberta Health Services procedures.

We have full team and great staff-service has not been impacted.  Today is day four of “outsourced” meals.

We continue to monitor our supplies closely. We have received emergency supplies through our Corporate Procurement as well as Alberta Health Services.

As you might appreciate, this is a challenging period and we wish to thank staff for their dedication and commitment. A sincere thanks is also in order to our Pandemic Response Team for supporting us during this challenging time.
