Employee Referral Program

Introduction
Our valued employees are often the best spotters of talent. If you know people - friends, family members, ex-colleagues – who possess the skills, experience and qualities required to make a contribution to our rapidly expanding business, we'd like to hear about them!

An Employee Referral Program (ERP) is a proven and well established method of reminding us that our future colleagues may be right under our noses, and the
following information details how the program works, and the potential rewards available.

How the ERP works
It’s very simple – if you are an eligible employee (see below for a definition) and refer an external applicant who is hired by Retirement Concepts, you will receive a cash bonus!

Who is an eligible employee?
An eligible employee is someone who is currently employed in either a full time or part time (but not temporary) capacity with Retirement Concepts, Well Being Seniors Services or a recognized affiliate organization.

How do I find which positions are being recruited for?
All of our current open positions can be accessed via the Employment page of our website www.retirementconcepts.com.

How do I refer an external applicant?
The resume of the referred external applicant must be attached to a completed Employee Referral Form (quoting the appropriate job number) and forwarded to Human Resources at Head Office. The Employee Referral Form can be accessed from the main Employment page of this website. Please forward these documents by either email (the preferred option) to erp@well-being.ca or via fax to (604) 669-4939.

The Referral Bonus
The amount of the referral bonus is dependent upon the position the referred external applicant is hired for. The details of the classifications are as follows:

$5000 for referring successful candidates for Senior Management positions
including:
- Regional Managers
- General Managers for Residential Care
- Department Directors at Head Office

$4000 for referring successful candidates for Director of Care positions

$3000 for referring successful candidates for Senior Nursing positions including:
- General Managers for Assisted Living
- Assistant Director of Care (ADOC)
- Registered Nurses

$1000 for referring all other Clinical Positions in ‘hard to recruit for locations’ (see ERP Rules) including:
- License Practical Nurses (LPNs)
- Care Aides and Home Support Workers (RCAs)
- Recreation Coordinators and Assistants

$750 for referring successful candidates for Facility Support and Head Office
positions including:
- Administrative Assistants
- Sales and Marketing Coordinators
- Finance and Accounting Professionals
- Human Resources Professionals

When is the Referral Bonus awarded?
50% is paid when the candidate successfully completes probation and 50% when the candidate completes one full year working for the company

ERP Rules
- All eligible employees can refer candidates unless they are directly involved in the hiring process (i.e. they are a member of the interview committee)
- The referred external applicant must legally be able to work in Canada
- The referred external applicant must be presented to Human Resources with a completed Employee Referral Form
- The referred external applicant must be hired for either a permanent full time or part time (greater than .50 FTE) position
- If a candidate is referred by more than one employee the referral bonus will be awarded to the employee that submitted the referral first or be split equally between the referring employees if they agree
- ‘Hard to recruit for locations’ are limited to Kamloops Seniors Village, Summerland Seniors Village, Williams Seniors Village, Comox Valley Seniors Village
- Employees cannot refer themselves or other employees of Retirement Concepts or Well Being Senior Services or affiliate organizations
- A referred external applicant is not eligible for consideration if; they have previously applied to Human Resources; they already work the company or it’s affiliates, or; they have worked here within the last twelve months.

Please Note
- Regrettably, primarily due to time constraints, not every referral will necessarily be invited to attend an interview
- All hiring decisions are solely at the discretion of Retirement Concepts and such decisions are final and can not be appealed
