In 2002, St. Laurent was incorporated into the city of Montreal. Now the largest borough in the Greater Montreal Area, St Laurent is located just 10 minutes away from the downtown city centre.

St Laurent is home to two colleges, Vanier College and Cégep de Staint- Laurent. The influx of students gives the area a very collegiate atmosphere with a focus on athletics, arts and diversity. St Laurent is also home to some of Montreal’s best fast food: Coronet Pizza has been voted best Pizza and Decarie Hot Dog is said to have the best hot dogs around.
