Located on Highway 97 approximately 540 km or seven hours drive north of Vancouver by car and can be easily reached by Pacific Coastal Airlines or Central Mountain Air, and Greyhound Bus Lines. The main industries include forestry, agriculture, tourism, and mining. Elevation at the Municipal airport is 940 meters or 3,085 ft. The Williams Lake region offers world class mountain biking, white water rafting, and hiking trails as well as over 1000 near by lakes perfect for fishing or camping. Inside the city itself is the Cariboo Menorial Complex which contains a swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, weight room, twin ice rinks and a multi purpose room which often hosts liver performances. Arts and Culture are booming in the Lake City with live theatre performances, antique shops, Art Walk Festival, Xat’sull Heritage Village and many great events and attractions that take place throughout the year.
